Julianne McCrery has reportedly admitted to killing her son, Camden.
WBZ, from Boston, has gotten the most information regarding this case where the mother, Julianne McCrery, has confessed to killing her son. McCrery is said to be from Texas and reported that she went to Boston for her aunt's funeral.
She was taken into custody, but then into "protective custody" which often means taken to either an emergency room or mental health hospital facility, but she would not be able to leave.
The local community got together today to mourn, with more than 300 locals, strangers, crying, holding their children close.
It is heartbreaking.
One man asked, "how can someone just throw out this little guy like he was...." and broke, struggling to say "trash."
What did she do? It is not known at this time, but speculation ranges from drugs to even overdosing him on cough syrup.
CONCORD (CBS) – A boy found dead in Maine Saturday has been identified as 6-year-old Camden Pierce Hughes of Texas. WBZ-TV was first to break the news Wednesday afternoon.
His mother, Juli McCrery of Irving, Texas, is in Massachusetts State Police custody in Concord and has confessed to giving her son an overdose of medication that resulted in his death, sources tell WBZ-TV.
“We were together for two years, but I’ve known (the boy) since the day he was born,” said Robert Miller, McCrery’s ex-boyfriend who also lives in Irving, Texas. “He was a very nice boy. He was an innocent boy.”
Camden Pierce Hughes’s body was discovered in South Berwick, Maine over the weekend, wrapped in a blanket next to a dirt road. During a news conference at the Massachusetts State Police barracks in Concord, a state police spokesperson said that the case has been referred to the New Hampshire Attorney General’s Office
Information on Camden was found on Facebook, and some information about the mother has come from Amazon, as she was an author.
Little is known about the mother at this time, yet Amazon shows an author, from Texas, by the same name, with one son in the military, and one very young.
About the Author
Julianne McCrery was born in San Jose, Ca. in 1969. She has made her home Dallas, Texas since the early 80's. She enjoys two sons, one who serves in the U.S. Navy and the other one much younger aged three and a half years. Driving a school bus and then somehow graduating to a cement mixer certainly gave her character beyond her years, and a definite need for a good night's sleep
