Cindy Anthony Perverts Justice for Caylee

Caylee Anthony cries out for justice.

Caylee Anthony's cries will not be answered by her grandmother, Cindy Anthony.

Today, Cindy Anthony perverted justice for her granddaughter, Caylee.  Even in death, Cindy would not stand by her grandchild's memory.

Recall that for 2 years, Cindy never bothered, even once, to meet, check on, or even just to speak to the woman she believed was babysitting her grandchild.  For Cindy Anthony, Caylee was nothing more than a novelty.  This ongoing neglect reached its zenith when, after a month of not seeing Caylee, Cindy finally did something:  she called the police to get her car back.

And as if by after thought, she said "and I haven't seen my granddaughter..."

Today, that neglect of Caylee continued.

In life, Cindy cared little for Caylee, but in death, she cared even less.  Perhaps someone should remind Cindy Anthony that it is Caylee who is bringing her the millions.

I will not purchase Cindy's book.

When Cindy testified for the prosecution, I felt sorrow for her as she had to listen to the world hear all the lies of Casey.  Cindy appeared humiliated.  I wasn't alone in feeling sorry for her, as many others did, too.  But what did not add up:  why would Cindy, who has lied since July of 2008, consistently, suddenly turn truthful?  It didn't make sense.

Now we know.

Cindy Anthony perverted justice for Caylee today by lying on the stand.  Now I understand how it is that she was able to give Casey that Mother's Day card:  she joined in the insult of the memory of Caylee.

This morning, the Anthonys attorney released a statement which showed an indication of sensitivity regarding what George and Cindy would do. We suggested to our readers to prepare themselves for deception, either as a defense witness, or in the least, in the penalty phase.

We did not have to wait long.

Cindy Anthony took the stand and perjured herself in an attempt to save Casey Anthony, as Jose Baez could barely contain his giddiness.

Cindy Anthony has been deceptive since July of 2008. Whether it was to the press or to law enforcement, she was not afraid to lie for Casey.  She attempted for months to taint the future jurors with claims that Caylee was alive.  She even admitted  on an email that she gave the FBI analysts the wrong hair brush, deliberately, as she knew that Casey had murdered Caylee. While fearing her daughter would be found guilty of murdering her granddaughter, Cindy Anthony went to the police to suggest that the killer was Jesse Grund, a young man who was engaged to Casey, who was kind to Caylee. Cindy Anthony attempted to re-victimize Casey's friend, Amy Huizenga, whom Casey robbed, when Cindy told police that "Amy might be zanny!" in order to save Casey.

Cindy Anthony attempted to implicate 2 individuals in a capital murder case in which she knew they were both innocent.  Cindy was willing to see an innocent spend life in prison, or worse, receive the death penalty.

Cindy exampled why lying and murder is linked.  Cindy took the fall for Casey by even attempting to get the jury to believe that she could have been home when the computer searches were made:

"It's interesting that you brought that up", said Baez, "we have your work records" in which Cindy said "it could have been an error that my supervisor filled out my time card..." which was objected to as speculation, but the jury heard it, just the same.

Cindy Anthony testified that she researched chloroform on the computer, in March 2008, even though on the day in question, she was at work. If her work records are located, she should face perjury charges.

From there, Cindy went on to more lies:

Cindy lied about the stain in the car.  For Cindy, anything to pervert justice.  Now the world knows why "justice" is such a sensitive issue to her.

She did not answer the question about the stain directly, but avoided it. The purpose is the same: to deceive.

Cross Examination:

Question:  "Were you home on March 17th, 2008 between 143 and 155pm?"

Cindy Anthony:  "if those computer entries are then, then I made them"

Deception noted. Cindy would not answer the question honestly, as she was at work.  Cindy would only "remember" if she was at home, if, conditionally, computer searchers were for the deadly chloroform.  If the computer search shows chloroform, Cindy reasons, then she must have been at home.

This is precisely where prosecutors should seek perjury charges against Cindy Anthony.

As noted earlier:   Cindy did this (and others) her face immediately reddened. Her voice got shaky as her face flushed.  It will be interesting to read analysis of body language experts.

Regarding being at home when work records say she was at work, as the prosecutor became frustrated with Cindy dancing around the answer.  "It is a yes or no question!"

Cross: were you or weren't you?

This was an attempt by prosecution to get Cindy to commit to her lie.  Cindy is clever in her deception:

Answer: it is possible.

The State of Florida challenged her about her work records which would prove that she was at work and not at home on the computer, Cindy countered with:

"I am sure that all those things are lost by now."

From her answer, the State should subpoena the work records to show the jury that Cindy Anthony lied.  Cindy Anthony will do whatever it takes to pervert justice for Caylee.

Cindy then went on to talk about how her company was in 40 states in an attempt to divert prosecution from learning that she was actually at work that day. The diversion is something that we have seen from Casey (see analysis of her first police interview)

In 2008, Cindy did not tell the police she googled how to make chloroform.

Note the change with the additional negation of "I don't recall"

Question: Do you recall denying you searched for self defense
household weapons
neck breaking?

When it came to "neck breaking", Cindy Anthony was prepared with a new fabrication:

"but I do recall that there was a pop up showing a you tube skate board skate boarding on rails..." and off she went into a tangent, as if a skate boarding pop up would be remembered 3 years later.

Question: Is this is something you are recalling now since you changed your medication since 2009?

Answer: "No, I recalled it at the time but you didn't ask me." In this way, Cindy blamed the prosecution.

"My memory is better now than when I had my deposition in 2009."

Question:  Do you look up "inhalation"?

Cindy's answer: probably

Like Casey, Cindy used qualifiers and vague answers, along with a faulty memory.

Cindy also feigned ignorance under cross regarding her online profile, of where there were two, one that she used and one that Casey used, with separate icons differentiating the two. It is not reasonable to think that Casey had the same password and profile as Cindy, as she would not want her mother to read her emails and her online history. Cindy lied.

She said that even "Casey's friends could use the computer if they needed to..." a vagueness.

Which profile do you use?

Cindy answered with "we" switching.

There is a user profile and a Casey profile, and an icon for each one. Even though the prosecutor said that they were talking "exclusively" about the desk top, Cindy referred to the lap top in an attempt to confuse the issue.

The prosecutor wasn't buying it for a moment.

Q.  Were you on that website 84 times?
A.   I was on it several times

Deception noted by avoidance of the question.

Q.  Were you on that website 84 times?
A.  I don't know

Deception noted.  She could not say that she searched on chloroform 84 times and the jury will now see her as the liar she is.

Note that she said "I don't know what my computer does while it is running"   Here she attempts to blame the computer for doing searching:  anything but the truth.

Cindy Anthony lied. Now look back at the analysis of her attorney's statement today in which "under any circumstance" showed sensitivity. We now know why this was sensitive:

There are circumstances in which Cindy Anthony would lie for Casey.

The "Happy Mother's Day" card takes on a new rich meaning now as Cindy shows that justice for Caylee is utterly without meaning for Cindy Anthony.  It is an insult to the memory of Caylee Anthony, just as insulting as the little heart shaped sticker.

Cindy was truthful about one thing the past three years.  The truthful statement was written by Cindy in a jailhouse letter to Casey.  Cindy wrote:

"you are I are the same" to Casey.

At least here Cindy spoke the truth.  Cindy and Casey are the same.
