Miss Universe 2011: Did Some Contestants Stir Up A Skimpy Wardrobe Debate?With an estimated global audience of a billion people, "The Miss Universe 2011" beauty pageant, the contestants for the 2011 Miss Universe pageant have arrived in Sao Paulo, Brazil for the 60th anniversary of the Miss Universe pageant on Monday night.




Miss Angola Leila Lopes won the title of "Miss Universe 2011" last night as the first-ever “Miss Universe” title for her country. “Thank God I’m very satisfied with the way God created me and I wouldn’t change a thing,” the 25-year-old business student said.Of the other Miss Universe 2011 contestants, the 23-year-old Miss Ukraine Olesia Stefanko was the first runner-up.

Although, two contestants may have evoked this year's traditional wardrobe scandal during their beauty pageant run.Australia's Miss Universe 2011 candidate, Scherri-Lee Biggs caught in a whirlwind of criticism by pageant organizers, who say her evening gown was "offensively see-through." The 21-year old Aussie-native was one of two candidates chided for wardrobe mishaps several times during pageant rehearsals and events and was told that her bikini bottoms were "too skimpy."Another contestant, Catalina Robayo, 22, Miss Colombia 2011, according to NYdailynews.com, was also spotted at several pageant events with short skirts and no underwear. 

Before the crown was passed down, the 16 finalists included contestants from France, Kosovo, Colombia, China, Angola, Australia, Puerto Rico, Brazil, Netherlands, USA, Ukraine, Panama, Costa Rica, Portugal, Philippines, and Venezuela.Real estate tycoon Donald Trump bought the Miss Universe Organization in 1996 and relocated the headquarters from Los Angeles, Calif., to New York City.
