Markham's fiance explains conflicting statements made to Nancy Grace

FAIRFIELD, OH (FOX19) -
Katelyn Markham's fiance, John Carter, is explaining conflicting statements he made to HLN's Nancy Grace.
Carter reported Markham missing the evening of Aug. 14 after not hearing from her all day.
Grace asked Carter during an interview last week if he had taken a polygraph test and he said that he did.
However, during another interview on Wednesday night, Carter said that he didn't take a polygraph.
Carter explained the discrepancy to FOX19's Jennifer Grove on Friday.
He said he had a voice stress analysis test shortly after Katelyn went missing, not a polygraph test. The voice stress analysis is a form of a lie detector test.
Carter said he now realizes the difference between a polygraph and a voice stress analysis. He says Nancy Grace didn't give him a chance to explain what kind of lie detector test he took.
Carter says he will no longer speak live on Grace's show, and will only speak to her producers. He feels her interviews stopped being focused on Katelyn and zeroed in on him.
Please note that this perception agrees with the language used by Nancy Grace during her questioning. Nancy Grace showed concern over certain answers on his second appearance and there was no praise of him, as there was on the first night.
Texas EquuSearch, a mounted search and recovery team, has organized a massive search for Markham that began on Thursday and continues through Saturday. Volunteers interested in searching should arrive at the command center, Fairfield West Baptist Church, 5345 Muskoph Road, at 8:30 a.m. on Saturday.
Volunteers are asked to dress appropriately for searching in wooded areas - long pants and long-sleeve shirts - and bring their own packed lunch and plenty of water. Searchers must be at least 18 years old and bring a photo ID.
