Mother of Shaniya Davis indicted on murder charges
Antoinette Davis, 27, of Fayetteville was indicted on Wednesday on charges that include first-degree murder.
She turned herself into police shortly after noon on Wednesday, according to the Fayetteville Police.
Davis is also charged with taking indecent liberties with a child, child abuse, sexual servitude, rape of a child, sexual offense of a child by adult offender and human trafficking.
She faces a misdemeanor charge of making a false police report.
Her 5-year-old daughter, Shaniya, was found dead in November 2009 in Sanford. Police believe she was offered for prostitution.
Bail is set at $1.5 million.
