Breeann Murder Case Questions

There are many unanswered questions regarding this case.

Was Breeann sexually assaulted by Shawn Morgan?  We don't have statements from Shawn Morgan as of yet to analyze.

Now that the child's remains have been located, we may have some answers to the questions that many of you are asking here.

What led police to be confident enough to not only arrest Morgan before Breeann was found, but also to announce the cause of death?  What was it about him that police believed him to the point of making it public knowledge.

There are many unanswered questions about this case.

We don't know why the parents failed polygraphs.

It may be that the parents failed the polygraph due to the issues of substance abuse and how long Breeann was left unattended.  The father's sensitive time frame (10AM) is likely where deception exists.  His statement showed that he was not surprised that his wife failed the polygraph.  If the deception is limited to drugs and neglect, it will be noted as such.  The father did not show indication of guilty knowledge of her disappearance.  The mother appeared to know or believe that Breeann was dead.  What caused her to think this way?

 However, if the deception shows any connection with Shawn Morgan, there will be more questions that will need answers.  At this point, however, we do not know, but among the earliest questions were about drugs:

Were drugs involved?  Was Breeann killed as retribution, or because a debt was unpaid?  This does not appear to be the case at this point, but we should have more answers soon.

Or, was she killed due to sexual abuse?

Regarding Shawn Morgan:

What was his motive for killing Breeann?
Why did the police believe him about suffocation?

As we await answers, questions continue about Shawn Morgan, especially since he does not appear to have a criminal history.  For some profilers, this is a difficult issue. For others who have worked in the child protective fields, there is a very different opinion, but both may share the opinion that if Morgan sexually assaulted the child before death it was certainly not the first child to suffer under Shawn Morgan.

Interviews with family members as well as other associates of Morgan should yield some answers, as we hope the autopsy will, as well.
