Celina Cass: Waiting for Toxicology Report

Toxicology reports on the body of Celina Cass should be known soon.  This may help police uncover the cause of death since the autopsy's initial results were inconclusive.

Focus continues upon the stepfather of 11-year-old Celina Cass,  Wendell Noyes, who has checked into a mental health facility.

This is the second hospitalization in the last week for Wendell Noyes, 47, who also was taken by ambulance on Monday after suffering an unspecified medical problem shortly after he was seen dropping onto the ground, lying face down, and flailing. He was released soon after.

There have been no named suspects nor persons of interest in the case thus far, though police have called her death "suspicious."

Noyes is married to Celina Cass's mother, Louisa, who has stayed out of the media's spotlight since her daughter went missing, reported to be last seen at 9PM on July 25th, alleged to have been at her computer.

The following morning she had vanished with no signs of a struggle or indication she'd run away, authorities say.  When asked, Noyes told media the family was "grieving", an indication of knowledge or belief that Celina was deceased, though her body had not been found.  When it was found, WMUR reported that it was wrapped in a blanket; something often tied with familiar homicide; not stranger abduction.  Another address to media, Noyes said that Celina "better get her butt home",
blaming her for the disappearance.  We have noted that Statement Analysis used in domestic homicide 911 calls flags any inference of blame upon the victim, as well as any denigration or insult of the victim.  Without knowledge of Noyes' past, these two statements are concerning.  Then, if we add in his past, where he was charged with violating a protection order, criminal threatening and hindering apprehension, we become even more concerned.  That Celina was found wrapped in a blanket suggests familiarity increases suspicion upon the household.  We do not have statements from the mother at this time.

If the mother does make a statement, we will cover it here.

In his prior trouble with the law, Wendell Noyes was found by a judge to be  unable to aid in his own defense due to his mental health.  By checking himself into a mental health facility, he has raised the question as to whether he is  attempting to circumvent any responsibility he may have in Celina's death; just  as he successfully evaded charges in 2003.  Police took the vehicle he drove into custody and exercised a search warrant upon the house.

No one has been charged in her death as of yet.

We will continue to update as news becomes available.
