Autopsy Of 11-Year-Old NH Girl Found Inconclusive

11-year-old Celina Cass has been found. Just not the way her family wanted her to be found. After a near week long investigationand search in finding Cass across New Hampshire as well as neighboring Vermont and Canada, her body was found Monday afternoon close to her family’s home in a dam inside the Connecticut River. New Hampshire’s senior assistant Attorney General Jane E. Young refused to tell reporters at a press conference on Monday how the body of Cass was found.

On Tuesday, an autopsy on Celina Cass was found inconclusive, meaning that the cause of death wasn’t known. A factor in the inconclusive results was that her body was found in the water. Instead, Young said that they are now awaiting toxicology results to further determine how she died. Young didn’t mention if they had aperson or persons of interest on Tuesday, but noted that it is still an ongoinginvestigation.

Cass, who lived in a small town of Stewartstown, New Hampshire went missing on July 25 after she was last seen by her stepfather and biological mother on hercomputer before bed. When they went to go find her in the morning, she was missing.

A $25,000 reward was offered by the FBI for information regarding the whereabouts of the fifth grader. In addition, an anonymous member of the community offered to give an additional $5,000 for the location of Cass, who was beloved by the entire community.

The father of Cass, Adam Laro, spoke out just one day before her body was found on Sunday night to beg Cass to come home. Laro, who was in the hospital for a couple of weeks due to a heart condition told his daughter that he was out of the hospital and ready for her to come home. In an interview with CNN following his daughter being found, he said he couldn’t understand why anyone would want to her his daughter. “That’s the thing that puzzles me,” he said. “I can’t see why someone would want to do that to my daughter. She was very kind in spirit.”
